this is my high school, scranton prep. sitting on 1000 wyoming ave in scranton, prep will forever be a piece of who i am.

i started at prep in 2016--a simple time riddled with the dog filter on snapchat and "closer" by the chainsmokers. it was an adventure and a blessing to attend scranton prep, and it's what made me choose fordham to continue with my jesuit education.

it is simply impossible to describe the impact that my high school had on me, and i'm sure you think that i peaked in high school. honestly, i probably did, but i digress. prep taught me how to be how to live a life unselfishly and for others and a life unabashedly authentic to who i am. i learned some of the greatest lessons in that building, and surprisingly, none of them came from a textbook or a lecture.

four years later, i graduated--well, kind of. after months of uncertainty and questioning, the scranton preparatory class of 2020 held a graduation ceremony 2 months later than usual due to covid-19. my senior year was cut short, but i'm a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason."

i will always thank prep for all that i am now and all that i will become tomorrow.
