waverly elementary school

this is my elementary school. i think one of the coolest parts about living where i do is that i used to walk to and from school every day for four years. the playground is directly across from my driveway, and my mom used to walk over during my recess time with my dog linus (rip linus </3) to visit.

waverly elementary, where the end of the school year smelled like pencil shavings and sunscreen and changing your behavior card from purple to yellow was the worst thing in the world. i often pass the current waverly students on my way to and from my day to day life as a twenty year old. when i was 8, i couldn't wait to be an "older kid," which is ironic. i so desperately wish i could go back to those days where my innocence was inherent and my happiness was finite.
