the waverly community house is about a 3 minute walk up the hill from my house. growing up, i went to preschool here, and i also spent my summer days at comm camp, 14 years in dance class, countless weekends at birthday parties, and many nights at art shows at the comm.

if a house other than my own home raised me, it was the comm. i grew up a ballet dancer, and it broke my heart more than anything to have to quit by the time high school came around. i spent months perfecting my pirouettes and my pliés, and as my body got stronger, so did my mind and my soul. i made my first best friends in this building, many of whom i am still friends with today. i learned how to color inside the lines and how to perfect my ballet technique, and i even learned how to drive in its parking lot. now, at twenty years old, the most interesting thing i do at the comm is get the mail from the post office, but hey, i couldn't ask for a better time capsule for my memories growing up.
